Adapt Ability had the opportunity to be selected by Peter Stuyvesant Little League to be part of their Charity Softball Game.

PETER STUYVESANT LITTLE LEAGUE

Peter Stuyvesant Little League (PSLL), founded in 1956 in partnership with Con Edison and more recently Stuytown Property Services, serves more than 800 baseball and softball playing children from Manhattan’s east side on its Con Edison Ballfields and McGinn Field/Murphy’s Brother’s Park on Avenue C, adjacent to Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village.

A bedrock of family and community in New York City, PSLL offers not only baseball and softball instruction to boys and girls each season, but also such intangibles as sportsmanship, teamwork, courage and the importance of fitness.  PSLL is a fully volunteer, non-profit organization chartered by Little League International, and runs winter, spring, challenger and summer baseball programs for children of all abilities ages four through sixteen.

December 2020

Adapt Ability’s goal has always been to serve the disability community. Due to the times we live in, the best way to be together and to be informed about what is going on in the world is through the Internet. This is one of the reasons we have decided to join the Podcast Community, to keep you up-to-date and to share important information. So on December 20th, Adapt Ability launched their first episode of the new podcast called “Disability Humility''. You must be thinking: “Why Disability Humility?” The words “Disability Humility” means the act of learning about experiences, histories and politics of disability, recognizing that one’s knowledge and understanding of disability will always be partial, and that one should act in light of that fact. All the necessary information to be aware and conscious of the challenges the disability community goes through will be discussed on our podcast.

Adapt Ability’s First Bicycle Christmas Drive.

It all begins with an idea. How can we change the end of 2020? How can we help families in need of Christmas present?

We are always thinking about the environment so, by donating your used or unused bicycle we can make a huge difference this Christmas.

If you can’t donate your used or unused bicycles but still want to help, we are accepting helmets, elbow and knee pads for children. Thank you so much and Happy Holidays.

Creativity will not help us this time, the immune system in children with special needs cannot be compromised. All that we can do is pray, wash our hands, practice social distancing and wait.

THE MAKE IT AWARDS

For the fifth year, Squarespace is excited to host the Squarespace x New York Knicks annual Make It Awards in support of local entrepreneurs and small businesses who embody the passion and drive of New York.

Anthony Casalena started Squarespace in 2003 with a $30K loan to purchase the company’s first servers. Madison Square Garden, in partnership with Squarespace, is looking for the best and brightest to enter to win a grant for their business.Make it stand out.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

In 2022 Adapt Ability was honored with the Make it Award.
